Falcon A1 accessory kit

I love the Falcon A1. I was interested in expanding my capabilities and experimenting with new projects. My only complaint is THERE ARE NO INSTRUCTIONS! I know what the honeycomb is for and the posts for making the laser taller. No explanation was given about the metal base. I'm assuming it goes under the honeycomb for protection of the surface below but that's just a guess since there were no instructions provided.
