"Got my A1 Pro 20w today. Been laser etching on a genmitsu 3018 with a 7w laser for a while and what a breath of fresh air a proper machine that is easy to use and works out the box without hours worth of tweaking.
I have been doing slate coasters with local images and selling the locally to raise funds for children’s events around town. Went from 2 hours on the 3018 to 12 mins on the falcon.
Now to see what else I can do…."

I have a new favorite hobby
"I got the Creality Falcon CR Laser 5W as a starter laser engraver/cutter, thinking if it’s something I get really good at, I can always get a higher powered one later. I got the one that came with both the honeycomb and aluminum sheet, plus and was preassembled. Totally worth the extra investment. I’ve only been using this two weeks and am blown away by what I have created so far, both with engraving and cutting. I really bought this just for cutting purposes so that I could cut pieces of wood for making dollhouse furniture as I am a miniaturist. Looks like I’ll be using it for a lot more! I’m using the LightBurn software and have watched loads of YouTube videos learning how to use it. Once you get a hang of the software, you are in business. As again, I’ve only been using it for two weeks and have already come this far! (I chose to set parameters for cutting out all of the cut shapes.)"
