Falcon2 22W Diode Laser Engraver

This laser has already helped me increase the value of my woodworking projects by being able to provide my clients with personalized projects. It’s also helped me create custom lighting a lot faster than I was able to before with the scroll saw. By far, my new favorite shop tool!

I’ll admit, I didn’t think that an extra 2 watts would make much difference compared to my Ortur OML3 with a 20W module — but the Creality Falcon 2 22W proved me wrong. The added power translates into noticeably cleaner and faster cuts, especially on the materials I work with most: wood, leather, and acrylic.

One of the standout features is the integrated air assist system. It automatically turns on and off as needed, and because it’s controlled directly through LightBurn, the workflow feels seamless. This not only improves cut quality but also reduces scorching and residue, which saves time on finishing.

Compared to my Ortur, the Falcon 2 consistently delivers sharper edges and smoother cuts, making it a clear upgrade. The build quality feels solid, and the machine is intuitive enough for beginners while still offering the precision and control that experienced makers will appreciate.
